Is Modi a beast of burden?

Resent elections in Delhi showed us that PM Narendra Modi had to come to give speeches to persuade voters to vote for BJP. We have been seeing that in most elections since the last general election in which BJP came to power. We all know that BJP got votes because voters wanted to keep Congress away from power. It has been since then an anti-incumbency vote. This shall continue for some more elections until BJP proves that they are capable of doing work and deliver results. Only after that, voters may vote to BJP on its merits. What happened in Delhi we saw and that is proof of what I say.

Nevertheless, many BJP fellows have begun to feel that voters have accepted them as valid ruling party and they have begun to behave as if they have beaten Congress. Actually the fight is yet not over. The fight will be over only when BJP will prove that they can deliver what they have promised.

Modi is trying to do something honestly but his party leaders do not match that. I came to know it when I was moving among the local BJP party leaders in Mumbai. Some of them, jokingly though, told me while chatting that, Modi will talk to voters and his charismatic (!) personality will win them seats in whatever house. Then they will hold power there, enjoy it, and make their money the way NCP, Shiv Sena and Congress people did. I felt that these leaders of local BJP have taken Modi and Party's position for granted.

This is not a good sign for all of us. If this attitude of local BJP leaders continues, we will have to think of some other options. I do not know if Kajriwal's AAP can deliver or not. May be he will run away second time as these socialists cannot rule, we have seen their predecessors and the way they made a mess of everything in the past. They are only good in strikes, Bandha, Hunger strikes, Morchas, Riots, Protests and many more non productive campaigns.

I want to warn Modi that he should take care to remove this complacence in the minds of his local leaders. If not then, he and his party will be unsuccessful in time to come. The true challenge before him is not what problems country is facing but the attitude of smugly sitting bureaucracy. Make them work is not an easy task. Shifting one bureaucrat to another will not make them work. Our bureaucrats are yet taking this new government with ease. This will not help the country and with that, the attitude of local BJP leaders makes things all the more helpless for voters. Modi will have to be more stringent with his party leaders and make them feel that they cannot remain complacent and dream of enjoying Raj. He should warn them that they could not take him for granted and easily.

Here I want to quote Manusmruti. In eighth chapter, Manu tells how the king should rule as per true law. In that, he describes what Draconian rule is and what divine rule is. He tells the rishis,
"Listen oh my rishis, here I tell you all, what the symptom of demoniac rule is. In such a rule, public outcry is lost on deaf ears. They protest incessantly however, the king and his ministers refuse to oblige by giving only fake promises. Finally, that king goes to the extreme of punishing his subject. Know for sure, such a king and his ministers are doomed for ever in the hell called Kumbha."

"Now listen, the symptom of divine rule, the king appoints his observers to find out what his subject's needs are; then he provides for them and after accomplishing the results, he goes to his subject and requests for their well being, he asks, "Are you all satisfied?"". Such a king and his ministers go to haven, sit next to Indra, after death.

Driven by this guidance of Manu, I earnestly feel that BJP rule must be like the rule of divine king. This I dare expect only because BJP claims to be a Hindu party! One more danger I see is lurking around BJP; here I refer to the so called Hindu lobbies such as RSS, VHP, Hindu Mahasabha and many more those are growing around BJP camps like wild mushroom. These irresponsible groups are making life and rule of BJP a hell for both Hindus and non-Hindus. I warn Modi that he has to be very bold and stop this Brahmani mischief makers from playing pranks with feelings of people. If BJP loses votes in next election it will be because BJP team did not control these Brahmani miscreants. For example an act for cow slaughter ban is ringing bells of sure defeat for BJP in next elections.
