There
is much ado about people eating beef in India and we see both sides
putting their arguments with great vehemence. I observe those who
want to say that cow and its breed, usually mentioned as Govansh, be
protected and for that slaughter of cow should be banned throughout
India. They claim that cow is there mother and they also claim that
all gods are staying in her stomach. With these arguments they want
to say that, as such, cow is very reverend and so killing her is
blasphemy. Interesting part is that while they decry killing cow they
do not mind extracting milk out of her by various means to get most
milk from her. While taking that milk out of her they kill the calf
of that cow eventually as these cow lovers want to share that milk
which is actually right of that helpless calf. Similarly, as a cow
becomes dry and stops giving milk these same people throw that cow
out on street and forget that it is their 'mother god of Brahmans'!
This behavior shows that these people who talk of protecting cow are
not really serious about it. Their intentions are not sincere.
Similarly, these hypocrites will not mind if cow's husband, I mean,
bull is compelled to work on farms and to pull carts to do work like
a bonded labor. That is not objectionable to these cow lovers. I want
explanation as to why this discrepancy in arguments. Here I enumerate
various exploitations these same people make of cow to make my point
more clear.
- Extracting milk out of cow against her will, to feed humans and more than that to sell that milk and make money out of it.
- To kill calf to get all milk from that cow; occasionally putting the dead calf in front of that cow to show that her calf is alive, and by that cheating her.
- To get more milk give drugs and injections are used so that more milk will be extracted out of her to make more money.
- Not feeding cow properly during dry seasons.
- Throw that cow as it becomes permanently dry to nobodies care on street and make her feed on garbage.
- Occasionally beat the cow when it does not obey orders.
- Ailing and old cow is left out uncared to die.
- Using bull to pull the cart and also on farms as bonded labors.
- Putting rings in her nose (a very painful act) so that cow can be bridled properly.
- Cows are always tied up to posts so that they will not move out of that place much like slaves are tied up.
- Putting stamps (hot iron is used to do it) to identify her and its ownership by persons.
- Cows are owned by people and considered as property of those people. Owner of cow is ready to sell cow to make money. Treating cow (mother god of Brahmans) as a merchandise.
- Finally, at the same time to claim that cow is mother god of Brahmans and all gods stay in her stomach while indulging in above given atrocities on this species.
Above
list indicates that all claims by those so called cow lovers are
fraud and their love is only pretension and not real.
To
finish my this exercise on cow, I have a suggestion to all those who
really want to protect this species from exploitation by humans
because it is mother god of Brahmans and also because all gods of
Brahman are residing in her stomach. A law be framed with following
specifications.
- Cow and its species be declared as a totally protected species by law.
- Under that, no body can kill cow, calf, bull under any cause or reason or excuse.
- Cow, bull and calf will not be owned by anybody.
- Bull will not be used to work in farms, to pull cars and other similar labor work.
- Cows will not be milked for business. All milk of the cow shall go to its calf only.
- If a cow, calf and bull enters a farm and causes damage farmers will have to bear the loss without complain.
- Killing cow, calf and bull is a punishable offenses. With penalty and imprisonment for seven years.
- Marking cows, calves and bulls for identification is not allowed. (You cannot put mark on god!)
- Cows, calves and bulls cannot be bridled under any circumstance since it is mother god of Brahmans and mother god of Brahmans cannot be bridled; not even by Brahman!
- Selling of cow milk and its other products be banned. They include, milk, curds, yogurt, lassi, buttermilk, Ghee, Butter, Rassgulla, Rasmalai etc., any milk based beverage. However, all these made from buffalo milk be permitted.
If
this law is made we can say that the real protection is given to
mother god of Brahmans.
If
this law is not then, we can say that those who talk of mother god of
Brahman and protection to this species are fraud people.
This
will create a question as to what to do with milk industry? All
present diary farms and such activities will have to replace cow with
buffalo. Since buffalo is not mother god of Brahmans! Buffalo can be
slaughtered to produce beef and buffalo can be used on farms and also
on other labor jobs in place of cow. I hope these cow lover Brahmans
will be happy with this arrangement. Only banning cow slaughter is no
solution to the issue of giving protection to this 'mother god of
Brahmans'. Buffalo milk is by all standards superior to milk by cow.
Last
I want to comment on claims made by Punchjanya a periodical by RSS
that in Vedas, it is given that cow slaughterers be slaughtered! I
have read Vedas and at least I did not find any such reference in any
of the authentic Veda liturgy. I should mention that the writer of
Shukla Yajurveda, Yadnywalkya, was a regular beef eater and most of
the sacrifices needed cow and bull as its sacrifice in Yajurveda.
Manusmruti has also admitted that cow is the best sacrifice for
appeasing Manes (पितर).
Punchjanya, a periodical by RSS, should show proper references,
otherwise, we have to say that this periodical is a fraud magazine. I
request to all Cow lovers, particularly RSS boys, to give their
comments on my this suggestion of total protection to Govansh.
